Designed and fully manufactured at our site near Wolverhampton, our acoustic range is ideal for use in environments that require sound containment such as concert halls, schools, libraries and hotels.
In July 2012 our Acoustic access panels were tested by the Acoustic Laboratory at The University of Salford. The Acoustic Lab is a UKAS approved test centre and tested our panels in accordance to BS EN ISO 140-3:1995 / BS EN 717-1:1997.
The results of the testing found that our Acoustic access panel range is effective at reducing airborne sound passing through access points in walls and ceilings. This makes them ideal for use in environments that require sound containment such as concert halls, schools, libraries and hotels. An example based on our acoustic test data: a 600×600mm access panel installed into an 8×3m 50dB rated wall or ceiling will achieve a combined value of Rw48dB*. If your sound engineer wishes to make acoustic calculations based on your requirements we can provide you with sound reduction index figures upon request.
Currently the acoustic range is available in a range of sizes from 150 x 150mm up to 1200 x 600mm. As standard the range is available as either metal or plaster faced with either a picture or beaded frame to suit your requirements. Its minimal design is made of powder coated zintec which makes the panel durable and resistant to weathering and moisture. As standard the panels are power coated in RAL 9010 however other colours are available upon request. Even though the majority of access panels in the industry are used internally, we ensure that our products are coated in full polyester powder which is normally recommended for exterior environments. This provides the access panel with extra protection. The acoustic range of access panels are also fitted with a budget lock and are supplied with a ‘T-key’.
If you require a bespoke panel, you can simply speak to our in-house technical team to discuss your requirements. We offer a next day delivery service on all of our stocked access panels to any mainland UK address. Bespoke panels are dispatched on a next day service once manufactured.
*The installer must follow guidelines set by the relevant wall or ceiling manufacturer to ensure the correct properties are achieved for the environment.
